Oceanborn
Just finished watching LucĂa y el sexo. I bought the DVD a while ago, but I only got around to watching it today. I often wait before actually watching the stuff I buy. The same with books: I’ve got a whole bunch of books to read but it takes a certain… mood for me to start reading them.
Anyway, I’m not really sure if I liked the movie or not. It felt very typical for a foreign, independent art film such as this. Very chaotic (non-linear) and very dream-like. But then again, these movies are often open to interpretation. The first hour wasn’t *that* good, but the second hour was significantly better. I don’t really know why, but I guess it’s because the second half is so much more complicated. The first hour is relatively easy to follow and, at times, felt more like a porno than an (art) film.
It’s the kind of movie which you either think about for a very long time because you can’t decide if you actually liked it or not, or forget about right after you finish watching it.
