Randomness
Random seems to be the word of the week around here. While playing a game of Rummikub we were discussing the best way to shuffle the pieces between games. My brother and I agreed it had to be done rigorously, but during one game my mother used the ‘old-school’ way of shuffling. I wanted it to be shuffled better, but my brother argued it would be a nice ‘experiment’. Beneath is the result after about 30 seconds of ’shuffling’ (or rather: just moving the pieces around). Earlier that night I asked if there had ever been a game where someone could empty their entire board right from the start…
My brother’s board is in the middle, mine’s on the right. I already laid down a pretty nicely picked line (come to think of it, I have too many pieces on my board! There should only be 10 left…).
